Life with Purpose
Psychotherapy
Emily Corrie, MSc
Existential Psychotherapist
Are you living your life in a dream, rather than living your dream life?
Maybe you look around and notice that you've been sleep-walking through the last few years; unaware of the changing seasons, preoccupied by practical tasks, weighed down by responsibility, duties, and expectations. You haven't forgotten about the life you dreamed of living; it's an idea always simmering, quietly, but it's shrouded in fear.
My great hope is that you can live a conscious life--a life with purpose!
As an existential psychotherapist, my work is inspired by the same kinds of questions that fuel me in my own life: How should I live? What does it mean to live life "well"?
My approach is not informed by tricks, tools or diagnoses, but by intuition and intentionality. I am convinced that the real value in therapy is providing a space of deep listening to my clients. No other relationship we encounter in our lives is quite like the therapeutic relationship. Here my role as a therapist is to focus my attention and energy entirely on you.
Having grown up in Salmon Arm, as an adult I left to experience life in other parts of the globe. I have lived in New Zealand, the UK, Morroco, and now France. At the moment I split my time between France and Salmon Arm. Therefore I offer therapy sessions exclusively online.
